SunEx is currently part 61 for instrument ground training but will be adding part 141 to its certificate winter of 2023. The instrument ground training is taught online. Like the private pilot online course, the instrument will include stage checks and an end-of-course exam. The passing score is 70 or above. The course will be taught live and online with the instructor having office hours during the week. Once the course is part 141, the credits will transfer to any part 141 school in the United States. Students that are Part 61 may still take the course as this course will prepare you for the written exam. At the end of the course and with a passing score on the final exam, students will receive a completion certificate and will have 24 months to complete the instrument practical exam. Part 61 students will not get a completion certificate. Both part 61 and 141 students will receive an endorsement for the knowledge exam.
