Private Ground

SunEx offers an approved part 141 ground training course online with a live instructor. Instructors will have office hours available for all students that need extra time. All records are held by SunEx and can be transferred to any other part 141 training facility. The online course is via zoom for 6 weeks, two classes per week for 3.0 hours each day.

The Private Pilot Ground Course is the academic study for flight training required for pilots operating in an increasingly complex aviation environment.

The new subject matter is introduced during the ground lessons, which include five items:

1. In-depth textbook assignments
2. Selected video presentations
3. Thorough instructor/student discussions
4. Comprehensive exercise book questions
5. Stage exams for evaluation and reinforcement

Course Requirment

The student must be at least 17 years of age to graduate, be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language, meet the same requirements listed in the timetable for dual and solo flight, and satisfactorily complete the training outlined in the SunEx syllabus. When the student meets the minimum requirements of FAR Part 141, Appendix B, the student will be eligible for graduation.

The cost of the part 141 course is $1950.00 per student and includes books and training materials, stage exams and a manual E-6B computer.
